IDBS E-Workbook Template Developer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks:

  • IDBS database build and maintenance (IDBS dynamic spreadsheet technology)
  • Configuring dynamic templates, workflows and underlying data models across departments
  • Power-User and Go-to-person for all questions related to structured data and data retrieval
  • Close collaboration with external consultants with prospect of project lead
  • Development support and maintenance of in-house analysis / reformatting tools (PY-scripts)
  • Configuration / automation of modern liquid handler systems across departments is a plus

Our Requirements:

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in life / computer science or related areas (biology, biochemistry, biophysics, biotechnology)
  • 2+ years of experience in relational database configuration and maintenance (e.g. IDBS, Access, SQL) is a must
  • Deep and solid understanding in data structure and integrity
  • Solid laboratory background with a strong bent towards data collection and documentation
  • Expertise in configuring/automating modern liquid handler robotics (e.g. Tecan, Hamilton); Skripting (e.g. Python, R) is a plus
  • Programming skills and/or affinity to Molecular Dynamics is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Reliable and flexible team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German
