Scientist Protein Engineering & Technology Scouting (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • Design and generation of display libraries for Anticalin® selection
  • Proposal and execution of rational engineering strategies for Anticalin based mono- and multispecifics and fusion proteins
  • Responsible for bioinformatics and protein structure analyses
  • Proficient in implementing and applying software to design and optimize biologics such as MOE / Rosetta for protein modeling
  • Gathers and analyzes data to apply machine learning methods for protein engineering
  • Database management and support
  • Scouts for novel technologies
  • Collaborates with external industrial and academic partners

Our Requirements

  • PhD in life science or related area (biology, biochemistry, biophysics, biotechnology, bioinformatics) with 2+ years' experience
  • Solid knowledge in protein folding, aggregation, structure and dynamics
  • Deep understanding of techniques to study protein-protein interactions and state-of-the-art atomic-resolution structure elucidation tools such as NMR, X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM
  • Understanding of different display technologies as well as scaffold and antibody technologies
  • Expertise in Scripting (e.g. Python) and Molecular Dynamics is a definite plus
  • Knowledge of DNA sequence analysis tools such as Geneious will be beneficial
  • Cross-disciplinary orientated as well as reliable and flexible team player
  • Imaginative personality with self-sufficient and communicative appearance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
